If you believe that you can contribute to any of the CBPs listed on this site, get in touch. Tell us what value added you bring and how your vision can enhance the vision already described.
Or in the alternative, if you believe you have an idea that could be transformed into a Company Building Project that can scale to meet any one of the Grand Challenges, don’t hesitate to reach out to us (feel free to address any GC not listed on this website).
In short, if you have an idea that you believe can truly and sustainably and at scale change the world for the better, send it to us. You can formulate your idea in writing, graphic art, video, or some other creative process. It would be appreciated if you kept the presentation to one page (please keep the links to a minimum) and the video to no more than 60 seconds. Anything more than that and the likelihood is that it will not be read or seen. There is no guarantee that you will receive a response. What you submit will not be returned.
Regardless, do not feel discouraged. Feel free to submit whatever you deem appropriate that will contribute to the evolution of our species, other species that we share the planet with, and the earth itself.
If you are concerned about the proprietary nature of your information or idea, we get it. Or if you believe that the Internet is an unsafe means of communication, we get it. We empathize with 1960s-type paranoia. If you feel strange about sharing through normal channels, then don’t send it. Use your imagination to get the idea in front of us through some alternative means. If we are impressed and we see a company-building strategy embedded within your proposal that contains global impact potential, we will get back to you. Remember, we are not looking for CBP deal flow.
Lastly, the fact that we are taking an unorthodox approach to venture capital investing with our CBP model does not mean that we are abandoning the traditional VC route of raising a blind pool of capital and investing in startups and world-class entrepreneurs. We are in the process of developing a comprehensive online platform, an accelerator, and an A-to-Z Toolkit to back any and all entrepreneurs who are focused on the Grand Challenges. Marginalized and largely excluded groups (i.e., black, brown, indigenous, LGBTQ+, women, the challenged (physically, mentally, or otherwise) are encouraged to apply.
We do not sign NDAs.
One of the great myths of capitalism is that it naturally generates cutting-edge scientific and technological innovation. There is ample evidence that this is not the case. At Gaia Labs, we are convinced that technology innovation falls into two (2) camps. The first are technology innovations that reinforce capitalism’s ability to reproduce itself. The second are those technological innovations that guide capitalism to evolve beyond itself. The latter is our focus.
“Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can’t do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world are the ones who do.” — Steve Jobs.
Only the crazy ones will solve the Grand Challenges!
And that is who we want to hear from.
